4 Australian Swimwear Brands that Celebrities Love
Aussie rules the swim wear game.
Beach club and instagram worthy swimwear. Meshki has you covered for all your vacation photo-op needs. While their swim wear might not actually be for swimming, it does look good to lounge in. Tiny embellished triangle styles, animal prints, inventive cuts and velvet bikinis, Meshki covers all the bases. Meshki also sells swimsuit cover-ups to take you from day to night, at your favourite beach clubs from Ibiza to Dubai. I picked up a few styles last summer from their first launch, and was hooked at first try. I did think the sizing for the tops was rather small while the bottoms fit true to size. The swim suits do wash well, but I did notice some fraying and a little fading. Meshki’s glitzy pieces are an instagram favourite, and styles sell through quickly in smaller sizes.
WhiteFox Swim has, by far, one of the biggest selections of swimsuits. The style offerings are full of bright colours, made in a variety of fits, from more skimpy bikinis like their Ibiza bottoms, to their signature St Tropez one piece. These swimsuits are the epitome of Aussie swimwear - colourful, good quality and sexy.
Famous for their one pieces, the Elle and the Farrah, the high-cut 80s style swim suits are seamless and beyond flattering on a variety of body types. Their shades or colour offerings typically boast neutral colours. I picked up the Elle bathing suit two years ago and haven't stopped wearing it since. It washes well, is perfect for every occasion and its silky fabric feels like a second skin.
Kardashian loved swimwear brand AEXAE swim, features a sports wear aesthetic. Known for high leg cuts, swim wear that can double as athleisure wear and skimpy two pieces. Two of the more popular styles are the Tyra and the Magnum. The colour palette and aesthetic of the brand is similar to Myra; neutral tones with limited edition releases featuring vibrant colours. I got my hands on the Tyra tie bikini in neon yellow, a limited-time-colour release. It is my perfect tanning bikini, and definitely has the wow factor.
These two brands are very similar, both using double layered nylon/spandex materials and feature minimalistic silhouettes. No branding, or embellishments, it’s about cut and fit. They carry hefty price tags, but are worth the premium pricing because of their quality, versatility and classic flattering cuts.
